Rebecca Hammond entered the OCR world in March 2018 and shocked the everyone with second place finishes at Spartan North American Championships, Spartan World Championships and OCR 3k World Champs. Now in her sophomore season, Hammond has quickly evolved from "dark horse" to crowd favorite.
Since her 2012 debut, Ashley Samples has run hundreds of obstacle races with wins on 3 different continents. She became a mother in 2016 but quickly returned to racing with great success. Ashley is especially active as a Conquer the Gauntlet Pro Team member.
Brakken Kraker has over eighty podium finishes in his career including more than 50 first-place victories. Though a veteran to the sport, Brakken should always be considered a threat and serious contender as proven by his his 2018 winning of the Spartan Stadium Series.
Tia began running competitively in high school and immediately developed a passion for the sport. Her success led her to train with an Olympic Development team sponsored by Adidas in Austin, Texas. Tia focused on the 5000 meters and 10,000 meters. She has a 5k PR of 15:47 and a 10k PR of 33:15. Tia is excited about her transition from the roads and track to obstacle course racing.
Mike Ferguson is the definition of dedication, discipline, hard work, and focus. If you're fortunate enough to race side-by-side with him, you'll recognize "Fergy" as a genuine and all-around great guy. Just don't underestimate him as Mike continues to rack up podium finishes.
Lefty Kapanadze survived sepsis, chronic bronchitis and frequent pneumonia as a kid growing up in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia. His father/coach pushed him to his limits, including running in Caucasus Mountains at 14. There, Lefty felt strength and powerful will to take back his health. He became a competitive swimmer, downhill mountain racer, semi-pro baseball player. OCR now runs in his veins.
Since earning a podium finish at her first ever Spartan Race, Tiffany Palmer has become a respected racer and trainer who has led the pack at dozens of Spartan, Savage and OCRWC races including traveling to London in 2018 to represent Team MudGear.
Alex Walker jumped into the OCR scene in 2014 and quickly became the favorite at most Texas OCRs. She’s a huge fan of heavy grip-type races and recently found a new passion for endurance races. Alex spends her free time bouldering, trail-racing and finding new adventures.
