1,000 Mile Challenge
Instead of regurgitating all of the bad that happened last year, let’s get excited about all the good we can do this year. It’s not too late for you to commit to walking, running, or rucking 1,000 miles in 2021.
Every year, more and more crazies are taking on the 1,000 Mile Challenge as a way to stay moving and give to worthwhile charities. Since a lot of us are carrying around the extra COVID-15 lbs. (yes, it’s a real thing), now is the time to pledge to 20ish miles a week. For mileage to count, they have to occur outside of your normal day walking around home, work, or school.
Check out Charity Challenges and their 1,000 Mile Challenge. The site explains how to log your miles and lists the charities they donate to using participants’ registration. You can even get a peak at patches from previous years. Yep, you’ll receive a 1,000 Mile Challenge patch when it’s all said and done.
If a thousand miles seem too way ambitious, how about just one 20-mile ruck?
